SURFERS PARADISE & STARBUCKS {GC DAY 3}

Another beautiful day spent in a beautiful city.

I started out my morning the best way, with a fruit salad {all 3 types of melons}, hash browns and danishes. I don't have a photo, but believe me it looked and tasted yuuuummyy.

I started my day like yesterday chilling by the pool, and getting on with my book.

RELAXING IN THE SUN {GC DAY 2}

2nd day in Gold Coast has been beautiful and resting. I woke up to have a delicious breakfast buffet, and spent the rest of the day by the pool, listening to music and reading...

ARRIVING IN GOLD COAST

So today was a full travel day, but after many hours, we've made it to the Gold Coast!!!

It's amazing here, the vibe and atmosphere is so different to where we came from, as the city is right next to the beach. As my dad said there is a much more "modern" feel.

I was so excited to go to Starbucks for the first time, although I didn't order anything, but I will definitely be going back.

I took mostly videos today (and some photos on my phone or small camera) as I am planning on making a 'mini film' of my trip here, but I will be sure to take better photos on my SLR tomorrow.

Enjoy the few pics

BUCKET LIST

I believe everyone should have a bucket list.

First of, if you don’t know what a bucket list is, it’s a list, of things you’d like to do before you die. Could be anything from eating a certain food, to climbing Mt.Everest.

Even if you know you won’t get all of it done, which is totally understandable, having goals/things you’d like to do before you die is really important for me.

MY CARRY ON BAG ESSENTIALS

So with the 2 week break finally coming near for us Australians, I thought many people would be going travelling (including me), so I wanted to share with you all, my carry on bag essentials (i.e what I like to take on the plane with me) !!
So I’m going to the Gold Coast for 5 days this friday, and it will only be a 5 hour flight, but nevertheless, these are my essentials.

{I took the photos for this post, and a day later I purchased this floral bag at equip, which will be the bag I will take with me, not the blue one in the other photos, just FYI}

TIPS FOR LONG LASTING MAKEUP

A lot of us get up in the morning, put on their makeup, and don't come back until 7pm at night. I don't know about you, but when that does happen and when I get home in the evening, my makeup looks nothing like what it did in the morning. Especially if it's a hot summer day, my makeup has probably sweated off my face!

So here are some of my favourite tips/things I like to do to keep my makeup lasting all day.

1.  Wash your face
Start with a clean face, it can really go a long way. Washing your face will get rid of all the dirt, oil and last night's makeup off, that may cause the new stuff to slide off.

2.  Exfoliate regularly
If your skin is dry and flaky, it is likely to cause any makeup you apply to flake off during the day. Exfoliating your face a few times a week, will give you a clean and smooth surface to start with.

3.  Moisturise
Another way to help keep dry dead skin away is by smearing on a good coat of moisturiser, but be careful not too put too much, as that will cause your makeup to slide and slip all over the place.

4.  Use the right amount
When applying your foundation it's important to apply the right amount. If applying too much it will likely start coming off throughout the day, as it would if you put not enough on. So experiment, and find what amount works best for you. And remember when it comes to foundation it's about covering up imperfections, not icing a cake.

WHAT CAMERA I USE TO BLOG {BEST FIRST DSLR}

This is where my techy side comes to life.

Camera talk.

I'm always, always, always wondering about what camera someone uses when I see there photos, so I thought it would be useful for any of you out there who like camera porn like me, to show you what camera I have.

I own, love and use a Nikon d3100.

WINTER ESSENTIALS

So since it is officially winter here in Australia I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to share my winter essentials!

Although when I say "winter"... this is really what an Australian winter looks like half of the time:
